WHOA, Harry Potter fanart from me! How rare! Well, I've been rereading the 5th and 6th books when my brain needs a break from the trials of college academia and am suddenly inspired to make fanart. Draco Malfoy has always been one of my favorite characters, though I definitely prefer non-canon angsty Draco to JK's.

I think Draco is one of JK's weak points. He's too flat, too underdeveloped. One of my favorite parts in the whole series is when *SPOILER* Harry finds Draco crying in the bathroom */SPOILER* because it's the first time we see the slightest bit of dynamism in his character, the first hint that he might actually be a teenage boy. I mean, for most of the series he's just too nasty to be real; only his racism (blood prejudice?) is believably evil. He must have some redeeming characteristics--as shown in Book 6, he's very devoted to his family, so he can't be a total spoiled brat. And the kid must have friends--he must do some non-evil things on his weekends when he's not harassing Harry. Unfortunately we're never able to see Draco from any eyes other than Harry's and Harry...can be a tool. And I hate how he always refers to him as 'Malfoy.'

I'm excited to see what JK does with Draco in Book 7.

Anyway, here's MY Draco, hanging out in one of the towers some fall day. Draco is so preppy it's badass--plaid, checks, stripes, AND argyle in the SAME OUTFIT! lol, the Dark Mark makes a surprisingly smexy tattoo.

The composition on this is a little weird...I ran out of page And that pose was so unneccessarily difficult.
