I've recently become a big fan of both Sherlock and Doctor Who on the BBC. I was contemplating the similarities and differences between the Doctor and Sherlock, and I had an image of them being set up on a well-intentioned but misguided blind date. They're both extremely intelligent, tall, thin eccentrics...there's just that *minor* difference in personal philosophy.
Plus, Sherlock already has the only doctor he needs, amirite?FYI: John Watson is played by Martin Freeman, who played a very adorable porn star in
Love Actually and spent most of the movie naked. SHERLOCK, YOU'LL LIKE IT, TRUST ME.

I think Benedict Cumberbatch tried out for the 11th doctor but was given the part of Sherlock instead.
